Unfortunately we’ve had a short delay on the next two shipments. The following games will now be shipping beginning Tuesday, October 14.

Pursuit of Glory

Barbarossa: Kiev to Rostov

Charging: We have now finished charging for these two games:

Chandragupta (Shipping late October)

Barbarossa: Kiev to Rostov (shipping October 14)

We’ll start the next round of charges after Pursuit of Glory and Barbarossa: Kiev to Rostov are shipped.

We’ll have an adjusted production update ready to send out to you guys next week.

New “Polls” Page Added to GMT Website

We have added a new Polls section to the GMT website. We’ll be uploading periodic polls to get your feedback on a variety of topics. The goal here is to continue to listen to our customers, as we believe that understanding what you guys want will continue to help us make better decisions in running GMT Games. We invite you to please visit often (we’ll generally run each set of polls for a week) and give us your opinions on the poll topics.

New Games Added to the P500 List

We are in the midst of our Fall round of P500 additions. The following games have been recently added to the list. We will be adding a couple more new games and two reprints over the coming week or so. Please keep an eye on the webpage for details.

New P500 Additions:

C3i Magazine Issue #21 Publisher & Editor in Chief: Rodger B. MacGowan

Commands & Colors Ancients Expansion #4: Imperial Rome Designer: Richard Borg

Commands & Colors Ancients Expansion #5: Epic Ancients I Designer: Richard Borg

Normandy ’44 Designer: Mark Simonitch

Pensacola 1781 Designer: Mark Miklos

Rebel Raiders on the High Seas Designer: Mark McLaughlin

Please note that as we are adding the new games, we are also telling our system to create auto-orders and send order notification e-mails for all who have one of the new items listed on their Auto Order (by series) forms. If you have any doubts as to whether your order was added automatically to our system (remember, these are simply order additions, not charges), just check your online account (upper right of any website page).

As always, if you change your mind and decide you don’t want an order that is on your online account, you can cancel it easily from within your account. Just go to the bottom of your account page where it lists all your outstanding orders and click “Delete from Order” in the grey “P500 Info” section. You can change desired order quantity in this section as well. If you have any doubts or concerns about anything on your list, feel free to contact the office ladies at the Online Chat button on the top right of any page.

We hope you find something you like in these new P500 additions. We invite you to visit our website often over the coming days and check out all the new P500 items.

Reprints Added Back to P500 List:

Blackbeard – 2nd Printing

One Removal from the P500 List

We note with regret that we are removing one game from the P500 list today – Jeff Horger’s The Storm Breaks. This game just never garnered many orders or much interest from our customers, so it’s time to let it go. We had hoped that the enthusiastic positive response to Jeff’s first game, Manoeuvre (which we are going to be reprinting), would spur orders for The Storm Breaks, but that didn’t turn out to be the case. My personal take is that this is probably the case of a cool game system just not being able to overcome a not-very-popular topic.

Once again, the customers have spoken.

New Sneak Peeks for Upcoming Games

Here are some sneak peeks we’ve added to the site recently:

The History Behind the Games

We continue to add updates from various designers as they provide interesting historical notes for their upcoming designs. This week we’ve added:

  • Four new installments from Lee Brimmicombe-Wood for Nightfighter. We hope you guys are learning as much from Lee’s design notes as we are. (He should write a book!) The new articles are:

We hope you guys enjoy these looks at the history behind the games.

Online Customer Support

If you have any questions regarding any orders or upcoming charges (or any customer service inquiry), the quickest way to get an answer is to use our Online Chat on the GMT website – which connects your directly to our office ladies. Certainly they’ll help you by phone or e-mail as well if you wish, but the online chat is a very fast and easy way to get your questions answered. Note that if you click the “Send a transcript” box when you initiate the chat, you’ll get an e-mail transcript of the entire chat for your records. We like this feature, as you get verification of everything that was said just like e-mail, but the response is MUCH quicker. We invite you to try it out next time you need an answer from the office folks.

That’s all for this week.

Enjoy the games!
