Happy Halloween Folks!
Lots of stuff to go over today,
The Vault
Several new site features on the website starting yesterday.
First off, we will now be making weekly posts highlighting new additions to the Vault. We will also be selecting one file each week and giving it a short review. The uploader of the reviewed file will receive a $5 Gift Certificate to our Online Store.
Both of these new features were started yesterday. In the future, new additions to the Vault will be posted on Mondays, and the reviews will be posted on Fridays.
Also, sometime over the next few weeks, we will start taking a closer look at the files in The Vault and trying to trim them down (some are duplicates, or different versions of the same file, etc.).
Character of the Week
Another new feature that we are starting is the “Character of the Week” feature. To enter, you need to upload a character and about 300-500 words of background/history for the character. It can be from any system or of any level.
For everything but RMX/C, you can use whatever races and professions are available, along with any optional rules so long as they do not alter the basic character generation rules found in the core book of the system that the character is for.
For RMX/C, all characters should be created with the Character Creation Guidelines that we posted on the front page of the website yesterday. These Guidelines have several benefits to both ICE and GMs of the RMX/C system, including providing clear consistency. These Guidelines will also be important as we move forward in other endeavors.
Each week, we will select one of these submitted characters and post him on the front page of the website. The poster of this selection will also receive a $5 Gift Certificate to our Online Store.
Site Revamp
Sometime in the next few weeks, the main section of ICE’s website will get a much needed update. This is actually going to be the first of several stages in regards to updating the site. We won’t be changing the basic look/feel of the main pages, but we will be greatly changing the backend of how the site works (the forums will remain unaffected by this change), making it easier for us to do updates, and allow us to add a few new features to the site.
Sales Stuff
Sherry has had a couple of very tough months so we are way behind on a lot of product-related projects, but she is doing quite a bit better now and we will start to get caught up.
Last email we announced that we had put together five more of the RMFRP hardbound Mega Value Pack Scratch and Dents. We then cleverly made it so no one could buy one by making it so they did not show up on the cart. We fixed that today. These are not just SnDs though as some of the books have small lamination issues. Do not forget that these are eligible for the free postage deal.

The 15% off sale has been extended until the 6th and these are the last few days of the Free Shipping for orders of $100 or more. We will likely have Free Shipping continue but on a much higher order amount, but we will not decide that until next week when I finish crunching some numbers.
We had an unplanned and rather unusual test of the quality of the clothbound books this weekend and they passed quite easily. We keep a lot of the leather and clothbound inventory on a very large book shelf in the hallway near my office. For whatever, reason one of the cats decided that was the perfect place to deposit a massive hairball. The RMC Combat Companion that was hit is now my personal copy, but it handled it superbly with no ill effects.
