Review: Crusaders #2

Valdemar Miniatures is a small company who have focus on the medieval period and produce a wide range of medieval sets in 1/72 scale, perfectly sculptured to match the traditional 1/72 scale plastic sets. Their mission is to produce personality figures and other special sets for the collector and the ambitious wargamer. They have an exclusive range which is known as Valdemar/Alex MASTERCLASS which are high quality 1/72 scale museum quality miniatures superbly sculptured and casted with perfection. They also produce traditional plastic miniatures and have just released our first set titled Medieval Army on March. The figures are designed to boost the ranks of sets made by larger manufacturers like Zvezda, Italeri, Emhar etc.

Contents

The review sample sent was a small set with 3 multi-part figures. One is a crusader running with an axe or sword (comes with two head options). Second figure is a Teutonic knight standing with his shield on his back and his hands on his axe. The final figure is a priest reading from the holy book.

The Good

There are no major mould lines or runnels and no pitting. There was very little flash and no mold slippage was to be found.

Valdemar Miniatures is also a Danish company, which fills me with pride – especially considering the fantastic quality of these miniatures.

The Bad

None.

The Ugly

None.
