Howdy folks!
There are been some severe issues with the US Postal Service website since the weekend and this had led to some issues. Our cart adds up the weight of the items in the cart and looks up the actual shipping cost on the USPS website automatically. However, the USPS site has either been down or it has been returning costs that are just about triple the actual costs (or more). They say its only intermittent and a fix is being worked on but it seems pretty constant to us.
Accordingly we have also added a zone system to the shipping cost estimator. If you get an error message when using USPS or get a ridiculous result you should either refresh until the USPS site returns a correct result or use the Zone Shipping which will be roughly comparable to the proper USPS result (but not exact).
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused but it was totally out of our control.
