Antenociti’s Workshop Ltd is now a VAT registered company

This means that all prices on the store are inclusive of VAT (Value Added Tax) which is currently set at 15%. VAT is due to be paid by anybody ordering from within the EU (except Euro VAT registered companies which can chose to exclude VAT charges).

If you are from outside of the EU then the prices that you see on the website are 13% MORE than you will have to pay. When you place items in to the shopping basket you will see the ACTUAL price that you will be charged.

For example:
If you are in the USA and want to buy the Uncharted Seas Dwarven Battleship then the price on the website shows £4.00p – but when you put this into the shopping cart (assuming that you have selected your country of origin as USA!) you will see that the price you will be charged is actually only £3.48p.

Just to make things a little more confusing some items – such as books – do no have VAT levied on them. As such these items will remain at the price shown on the website (which has no VAT on it in the first place).

Postage is also inclusive of VAT, however we have made the non-european postage rates zero-rated – in other words if you chose a postage option for outside of the EU then the price shown is the total price and no VAT had been charged on it.

What does this all mean?

For those within the EU all the changes really mean is that you now see a portion of your order showing the VAT – you are not paying anything more than previously though and our prices have not gone up!

For non-EU customers the changes effectively mean that you get a 15% discount on nearly every item in the store… because you are not eligible to be charged VA. So that will mean your prices will be 13% less than the advertised price on any items that include VAT (e.g. not books).

What do I do if I think I am being charged VAT and I shouldn’t be?

Obviously we have had to make a lot of changes to the store to accommodate the various elements of VAT and its quite possible that we have made a mistake; missed adding your country to the non-VATble list or similar.

Whenever you are unsure its best to drop us an email (or ring us) and ask before placing the order.
