Cutthroat Caverns shipping

At long last, Smirk and Dagger is happy to announce that Cutthroat Caverns is on the way. Yep, we just got word. The boat loaded today and will set sail on the 26th. Games are due to Long Beach port on the 8th and then overland to my warehouse where – finally – we can get them out to stores and our fans. The shipment includes the revised and updated base game and first expansion, Deeper & Darker – as well as the two newest expansions, Relics & Ruin and Tombs & Tomes.

For those who placed pre-orders with us, please contact me at covertc@smirkanddagger.com to confirm your mailing address. It has been far longer than expected in getting them here and I want to make sure that no one has moved since.

Apologies again for the delays and we hope you are as excited as we are about tearing them open and playing the new mechanics and adventure modules. This is some of the coolest stuff we’ve produced to date!

Get a sneak peak of the cool cards and stunning art work for the Cutthroat Caverns expansions Relics & Ruin and Tombs & Tomes! The games should arrive in just a few weeks time so to whet your appetite, we’ve recently updated our art galleries for these games. Each creature and Relic is shown with a bit of teaser copy outlining what makes them special in the game.

You’ll be seeing some familiar artists names from the past like Adam Vehige, Mats Holmgren and Tim Wollweber – plus a plethora of amazingly talented artists new to our game… but far from new to the business. You’ll find the resumes of some of these folks as impressive as the art they’ve contributed to the game. David Bollt is a renown tattoo artist whose work has appear in Heavy Metal and on the drum kits of Queensryche just to name a few. Pascal Blanche is a 3D artist who currently works at Ubisoft and has worked on WOTC and FFG products. Eliza Gauger is well known in gaming circles as the digital illustrator for The Book of Erotic Fantasy, Green Ronin’s Blue Rose, Legend of the Five Rings CCD. Kirsi Salonen provides the art for our first NPC – and what a knockout digital rendering she is! And of course, these great artists are joined by dozens more from all corners of the world, far too numerous to mention all here. We are truly honored to be able to feature the works of each and everyone.

And if you hadn’t heard, the art that graces our Relic cards is, for the most part, photography of real armor, gear and jewelry made by true craftsmen and jewelers. Heck, some you can buy for your very own or commission similar pieces.

So stop on by and get a taste of what’s to come – and appreciate the talents of these amazing artists!
