Knight’s Card Cover Game

Its time to prove if you’re the Hero or the Villain, the Knight’s Card Cover Game, choose your side. Why a new card game? Simply Logan Knight wanted a card game he could play with his two sons where they could each choose their our own superpowers. Much like the superhero roleplaying games Knight has played over the years.

“Roleplaying takes large amounts of time and good gamemasters take great deals of time planning and preparing their campaigns. I don’t have the time I once had,” Knight said. “The basic idea for my card game was simple, pick a superpower and then develop a nine card power pool with the feel of a roleplaying game. This would allow my boys and I to put together decks with powers from our favorite superheroes, like Wolverine, Superman, Peter Petrelli, Hiro Nakamura and more,” Knight said.

Over the last year Knight developed his game with twenty power pools of 9 cards each. He then started looking for a way to make the cards look good and get people excited about playing his game. “I test played the game and showed off my cards at a local gaming store and it was a big hit,” Knight said.

In the game players build decks of about 60 cards selected from power pools like, Mind Control, Ice, Flames, TK, Flight, Super Speed and more. Next using traditional role-playing dice the player’s battle each other with card like Double Blast, Sniper Shot and Berserker Rage. The first player to reach a health score of zero losses the game. “This game is fast paced and the outcome is different every game,” Knight said.

According to Knight, when he looked into how to best market the game, he considered finding investors, having the game professionally printed and professionally marketed. “My fear was that my idea of power pools was so simple it could easily be ripped off and redone. So I decided to make the game and the card designs free,” Knight said.

Knight hopes by making the game free, players from all over will submit ideas for new power pools, card designs and artwork. “Together we can build a community of players who will contribute ideas to making this card game great,” Knight said.

In the event that http://www.knightsccg.com is successful then Knight does plan to produce a printed version of his superhero game.

“It would be exciting to see this game in print. Lord willing one day it will be,” Knight said. Help spread the word about http://www.knightsccg.com and help make the Knight’s CCG a success.
