Konami announces plans for Yu-Gi-Oh! Crimson Crisis Retailer Sneak Peek events
Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KDE) has announced plans to hold Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game sneak peek events beginning with the soon-to-be released Crimson Crisis booster set. Crimson Crisis (MSRP $3.99 per nine-card pack) will first be released at hobby stores participating in KDE’s sneak peek events Feb. 28 or March 1, depending on the store’s preference. The Crimson Crisis booster set will be available nationwide at hobby stores not participating in the sneak peek event March 3.
“Crimson Crisis is the perfect booster set for hobby store owners to bring Duelists into their establishments for the sneak peek events as it introduces new cards used by Yusei, Jack and Aki in addition to the mega powerful Assault Mode monsters,” said Konami Vice President of Card Business Yumi Hoashi. “Crimson Crisis also includes a Red Dragon Archfield/Assault Mode card which allows Duelists to upgrade their decks to the more powerful assault mode.”
KDE has created kits specifically for store owners hosting Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG sneak peek events. Each kit includes:
• Support for 16 players
• 96 packs – five decks to build with and one extra for participating
• 16 Duelist participation cards – Colossal Fighter/Assault Mode promotional card – while supplies last
• Four foldable deck boxes – top two players will receive a box and two will randomly be given away during the event
• Official letter from KDE thanking each player for participating
• Instruction sheet – tips for conducting sneak peek tournaments and best ways to distribute prizes and participant payment options
