Review: S.W.A.T. Team

Offensive Miniatures is a new manufacturer of traditional 28mm wargames figures for both the wargamer and painter/collector, or both.

At Offensive Miniatures their aim is simply to offer the finest quality figures, sculpted by some of the best sculptors around, expertly cast, and covering any period of history or the future.

The review sample sent were 2 S.W.A.T. team members from Offensive’s upcoming line. All figures are cast in metal. These miniatures have a height of 28mm and came shipped in a baggie inside of a clamshell card. At the time of this writing, these figures were not released, so prices and details to exactly what would be released had not been announced.

The Good

There is a great care to detail in sculpting these figures. The detail is outstanding, especially for metal miniatures. The degree of realism and complexity is well above anything seen in the majority of wargaming figures today.

There was no mold slippage and no cleaning or filing was required.

While I generally am hard on minis that are not supplied with a plastic base, but as with their other releases, the solid bases on these are so good you could very well use them for skirmish games without adding a larger base if you wanted.

As primarily a skirmish gamer with a love for zombie games, these S.W.A.T. team members are a perfect match.

Offensive Miniatures may quickly grown into my favorite new company.
