Review: U.S Paratroopers

Offensive Miniatures is a new manufacturer of traditional 28mm wargames figures for both the wargamer and painter/collector, or both.

At Offensive Miniatures their aim is simply to offer the finest quality figures, sculpted by some of the best sculptors around, expertly cast, and covering any period of history or the future.

The review sample sent were 6 U.S Paratroopers from Offensive’s “Elite” series. All figures are cast in metal. These miniatures have a height of 28mm and came shipped in a baggie inside of a clamshell card.

The Good

I was more than pleased with these figures. My first impression was that these had some of the nicest sculpts that I’d ever seen for this era.

There was no mold slippage and no cleaning or filing was required.

While I generally am hard on minis that are not supplied with a plastic base, the solid bases on these are so good you could very well use them for skirmish games without adding a larger base if you wanted.

Offensive Miniatures has provided gamers with some extremely nice WW2 figures, both in concept and execution, with outstanding poses. As they are true-scale, these are small 28mm’s, but should fit in nicely with most historical ranges. Fans of Second World War gaming should keep a close eye on this new company.
