Frontline General News Update

It has been a while since I’ve sent out an update- that usually means I’ve been extremely busy with Collins Epic Wargames- improving the Frontline General system’s design, working on our next release, and yes, filling orders! Those are all good things, but I do apologize for being a bit non-communicative.

I am heading to Williamsburg, VA tomorrow to exhibit the game all weekend at a new convention local to me called Williamsburg Muster (http://odms-club.com/convention/index.html). This show is being sponsored by ODMS (Old Dominion Military Society)- a great group of guys with a passion for all types of games. If you are local to the area, please consider stopping by this weekend. There are over 60 gaming events planned, several tournaments scheduled, open gaming, and 17 vendors (vendor space is sold out!). I am running at least one event tomorrow and possibly one on Sunday as well. I’m really looking forward to the show and hope to see some of you there.

I wanted to send the FULL latest edition of Frontline General News (Issue 13) but it is not quite ready. The new issue is packed with content including a brand new scenario for use with Frontline General: Italian Campaign Introduction – a challenging hypothetical scenario called Conflict at Bari. This scenario will be sent to you first- as a subscriber to our newsletter. Also in the upcoming newsletter is an After Action Report (AAR) covering my final in-house test play of the new scenario in detail, a detailed Tactical Scale Combat example, a look back at 2008 for us- and a look ahead at our plans for 2009 and beyond. I’ve attached the cover of Issue 13 as a teaser!

In these tough economic times, we plan to weather the storm by focusing on excellent support, design of new additions and improvements to the Frontline General System, and continued advertising and promotions at conventions. Look for issue 13 in your inbox soon, and until then, happy gaming!

Kind Regards,

Byron Collins
