Little Big Men Studios Shield Transfers for Khurasan Miniatures models
Khurasan Miniatures reports:
We are happy to report that Little Big Men Studios has created some of their gorgeous rub-on shield transfers for two of our lines – the Late Romans and the Nikeforian Byzantines. These are just stunning transfers which, unlike waterslides, are pressed onto the shield. Steve at LBMS was provided with shields for these models to provide a perfect fit. They are available for purchase now on their own page on our webstore.

There are five Nikeforian Byzantine sheets – one with multiple cavalry patterns, and then four more with the larger infantry shield patterns, infantry being a force that grew considerably under the Macedonian emperors.
Like the Byzantines, there is one cavalry sheet with multiple patterns, six sheets just for the Late Roman foot, two sheets suitable for either Late Romans or Early Byzantines (an army we are currently preparing models for!), and then a final sheet with an amazing variety of chi-ro patterns for either the Late Romans or the Romano-British, so that your Romano-British foot (which our Late Roman models are suitable for in the earlier period) can have that suitably irregular look!
It’s worth getting in a little practice with these splendid transfers before sitting down to finish off a unit, but once you get the hang of it, your units will look so much better. What we like most about them is that they have a “painted” look so they do not clash with your paintjob.
We are discussing transfers for the Khurasanians as well as the Normans, but Steve is a bit busy at the moment populating wargaming tables with 28mm Napoleonics! Hopefully we will see those armies covered in the spring.
