Askari Miniatures

The former Resources pages are now the home page, which I think makes them a lot more useful. It’s easier for me to post updates as well, so expect to see more of them. It is also easy to subscribe to our RSS feed: you don’t have to go looking, the RSS feed brings our latest news right to your browser!

There are two new polls on the site, so be sure to pay a visit and add your opinion to the French and Russian polls. It has been interesting to see the results so far. Not exactly what I would have predicted.

Have a look at Ed’s Army Blog

colonial_cover_sm.jpgAlong with the release of Colonial Adventures, I painted an army for Ed Teixeira of Two Hour Wargames. He will be taking it to Cold Wars next week, so do stop by and say “Hi, Ed. Awesome figures! Nice rules, too.”

…and a figure competition

Bersaglieri NCOOsprey Publishing is having a figure competition! I’ve been asked to submit an entry–one figure released in 2008–and the Bersaglieri NCO from the ITA-5 set is the one. It’s called “Historical Miniature Showdown” and will have match-ups voted on in multiple rounds. They expect to have it organized by the end of the month. That’s about all the details I have for now. So do look for it and don’t forget to vote for your favorite Bersaglieri.

New products in development

For 2009, we’re working on mounted Spahis and dismounted Cossacks. More Central Asians. Our archaeologist needs some workers and they’re in progress, too. Hopefully I’ll finally be able to complete the German Krupp 77mm field gun which will also include a limber and a horse team. That’s for starters: there may be more and suggestions are always welcome.

Good gaming!
