Combat Storm: You’ll probably get a lot of value out of this

Dave from Combat Storm writes:

Specifically, I am talking about the Combat Storm Yahoo Group. Have you joined it yet? Feel free to check it out here:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/combatstormwargames/

The group is run by some very dedicated Combat Storm fans and they offer tons of cool stuff such as a message forum for discussing tips/advice on various topics related to plastic army soldiers and wargaming with Combat Storm.

You can also find a guide for painting your plastic soldiers, photos of Combat Storm battlefields, plastic soldier finds, and tips for creating your own terrain. Plus lots more!

Rustman provided the group with a handy guide for painting your plastic soldiers. Check out this sample preview image (it’s a bit blurry, but you can tell the end result is quite impressive!):

Visit the group if you’d like to check out the full step-by-step guide.

Also, Rustman did some sweet customizations to the downloadable papercraft buildings from the Combat Storm website by transforming them into ruined variations. Truly awesome stuff. I love it. Check out the pic:

The nice thing about papercraft terrain is that you can print out as many copies of a building as you like and use your own creativity to customize each one the way Rustman did. In today’s crazy economy, papercraft is the way to go if you want to keep your wargaming budget to a minimum.

Stay tuned for more, cause there’s no calm before this Storm!
