Dark Sword Miniatures eNewsletter Update – New Greens Posted
Jim from Dark Sword Miniatures writes in:
We have three new greens posted up from the very talented Jeff Grace. They are:
1. GRRM Masterworks – Theon Greyjoy
2. GRRM Masterworks – Hedge Knight # 1 (an older Hedge Knight)
3. GRRM Masteworks – Hedge Knight # 2 (a younger Hedge Knight in training with an “edge” to him)
There will be another 3-4 greens posted up in the next 2 weeks or so – and yes there will be females in the next batch so no worries there.
We simply could not pass up the chance to get a couple Hedge Knights worked into the GRRM Masterworks line in anticipation of the new Green Ronin roleplaying game based on A Song of Ice and Fire series. I have high hopes for this new role playing game from Green Ronin and look forward to giving it a read and of course playing it.
We also have posted up numerous new painted miniatures in various galleries. One item of note is a one of a kind custom tribute miniature Marike Reimer created in honor of our daughter Lillian and my wife Melissa. It is posted towards the bottom of the Lillian Grace Ludwig Tribute Page. Marike never ceases to surprise and amaze me with her skills. She is now starting to get into sculpting and very customized work.
We are down to under 10 copies left of the Limited Edition Tom Meier Sorceress miniatures in our Online Store. CMON sold out last week and now this is it – then they are all gone…So if you did not snap up your copy – there is not much time left before they are all gone. Maybe a couple days is all.
We just finished The Tudors Season 2 and enjoyed it quite a bit. I look forward to Season 3.
I was loving Heroes Season 3, but Season 4 is leaving me a little cold with the exception of our favorite serial killer with powers.
Lost is starting to pick up and get interesting again. Although I must admit that the show’s creators and their promise that there is a “non-science fiction/legitimate explanation for everything going on” has been thrown out the window as far as I can see with islands that can move around and such…
In terms of books, I just finished George R.R. Martin’s 1983 book – The Armageddon Rag. I really enjoyed it as I am a big fan of late 1960′s early to mid 1970′s rock n’ roll. I have been hugely into Led Zeppelin as of late and this book which deals with a fictional band called the Nazgul really screamed Zeppelin to me. It is one hell of a ride I must warn you. George has “the gift” when it comes to sucking you into his stories – no question about it.
We have started Smallville Season 4 on DVD and are starting to warm up to it about 6 episodes in. Loved Seasons 1-3. Season 4 started off sloooow and clumsy….
Ok, well check out the site, enjoy the new greens and by all means, feel free to keep your Dark Sword collections current via our Online Store. I love sending new miniatures out to collectors all over the world.
