New D20 Flash Map Creator

Kelsey Doherty of ThinkingImpairedStudios writes:

I’m writing to inform you of a new DnD resource; a flash-based map making tool hosted at YeOldeMapMaker.com A DM can go directly to Ye Olde Map Maker and immediately design a map for his/her adventure and print it out for free. The map will extend across 2 sheets of 8.5″x11″ paper.

These maps are not as fancy as other such programs (like Dundjinni). We kept a minimal style to spare everyone’s printer ink. What we lacked in fancy details though, we hoped to gain in ease of use. I’m not sure how other groups do it, but my group of friends were cheap and would always rely on sketching out maps on graph paper. We eventually upgraded to a washable tile map, but it was still a hassle to draw and redraw the maps every time. We hope Ye Olde Map Maker fixes some of those issues.

There are other features too:
-Create a user name to save your maps to our database. (We dont take any personal information, the username is only used to store your maps. Well, we also take an email incase you lose your password)

-You can save your maps privately, so only you can reload them, or publicly so that other people can load and print them.

-Public maps can be edited, and then saved as new maps under your username. (We hope to grow a huge gallery of public maps)

We just put the site live 2 weeks ago, and are planning to continually upgrade it and add new features. But we also want to get the word out in case there are DMs out there like us looking for a totally free and easy way to plan their adventures. So I hope you all enjoy!
