Prince August: Get a Lucky Leprechaun with your next order
With only 2 weeks to go before Ireland’s favourite celebration, Saint Patrick’s Day, takes place, Prince August is adding a special bonus with every order of at least 30 Euro (excluding shipping) made between March 3rd and March 17th. Choose from our massive range of historical and fantasy moulds, or top up on casting metal or a mix of both and we will give you for free a brand new leprechaun miniature.
This miniature measures 72mm in height and is made of standard casting metal. A tiny amount of assemby is required (glue the base to the figure). One miniature per customer. We add it automatically to your order if it meets the stated criteria.
What is a leprechaun?
They are a class of “faerie folk” associated in Irish mythology and folklore, as with all faeries, with the Tuatha Dé Danann and other quasi-historical peoples said to have inhabited Ireland before the arrival of the Celts.
Leprechauns usually take the form of old men who enjoy partaking in mischief. Their trade is that of a cobbler or shoemaker. They are said to be very rich, having many treasure crocks buried during war-time. According to legend, if anyone keeps an eye fixed upon one, he cannot escape, but the moment the gaze is withdrawn, he vanishes.
This miniature was sculpted by Joe Fahey, an irish sculptor in Tipperary.
