Theatre of War 2 english demo and pre-orders

Featuring an all-new (different from the earlier Russian beta demo) full mission from the US campaign, “The Battle of Sidi Bou Zid” which takes place in early February 1943, as well as one Tutorial mission to get you acquainted to the command and control of your units, this demo will get you all pumped up for the real thing. TOW2 is not being sold in stores except in Eastern Europe.

Customers who already have purchased the first game, Theatre of War 1, from www.battlefront.com, can save even more on their pre-order! If you have a valid license key for Theatre of War 1 from Battlefront, you can pre-order Theatre of War 2 at a reduced price of $35! Simply enter your license key in the “coupon” field during your purchase (you only need to enter the first 15 digits/characters!), and another $10 will be shaved off the final total, i.e. you will only pay $35 for the game plus shipping & handling, a total savings of $20 (!!!) over the later post-release purchase!

Theatre of War 2 Africa 1943 game background:

Theatre of War 2 covers the events of 1943 during the operations in Tunisia. Players will have the option to lead the German Afrika Korps of Rommel in their last full-scale attack or be at the head of the opposing English and American armies, led by Montgomery and Eisenhower, during 15 missions in three campaigns.

The game presents more than 40 types of different vehicles, new types of units, improved graphics and sound, a new advanced visual system that considers even tiny tactical details such as observation angle or smoke screens, ombatinside buildings and hand-to-hand fighting, a brand new interface, improved soldier AI and a detailed infantry damage system. Special attention is being devoted to multiplayer and user created missions.

DirectX Requirements:

The Theatre of War 2 Demo requires that you have the most recent updates to DirectX 9. To allow for this, during the install process you will be prompted to install the latest DirectX update, which we have included with the demo installer. This will update your DirectX (if needed) and ensure that the Theatre of War 2 Demo functions properly.

If you do not run this update at the time of the demo’s installation, you can manually run it later buy navigating to the demo’s “Misc\DirectX Update” folder and doubleclicking on the DXSETUP.exe file or launching the “Update DirectX” shortcut from the demo’s Program Group entry under the Windows Start Menu.
