WotC halts all sales of PDF titles

Wizards of the Coast has instructed all RPG download sites (including DriveThruRPG) to suspend all sales and downloads of Wizards of the Coast titles. Unfortunately, this includes offering download access to previously purchased Wizards of the Coast titles.

If you would like to let Wizards know your opinion on offering D&D titles for download, it is suggested that you use the D&D Message Boards found here.

Editor’s note: One can only imagine that Wizards plans to start selling their own products exclusively, which is fine and well within their right.

However, many users of these sites had a number of downloads remaining on their products (as a back-up), and it seems highly unfair to them that this has happened.

What is also unfortunate is that Wizards seems to forget that you can download all of their printed products via torrent should you so choose to do so – wherein they make no money whatsoever. No amount of their lawsuits will be able to halt that.
