Askari Miniatures reports State glitch and address verification
Ali from Askari Miniatures writes:
Back in January I updated the web store with a feature that allowed all of my global customers to include their “state” (or county or zone or province, depending on where you live) in their address. Before, only customers in the US, Spain or Switzerland could do that.
That’s the good news. The bad news is that the database now uses a different coding system for states with the result that everybody from the US who put in their address before January have a code the database can’t make sense of, so it treats it as if you didn’t put anything in and assumes you’re from Alabama.
Now Alabama is a nice place to be from but it’s not for everybody. I’ll do a mass update as soon as I can but until then, if you’re ordering something or just poking around on the site, please log in to your account and check your state entry. It might cause a problem with address verification for credit cards or PayPal if the state is wrong.
