Announcing an Online Summer Painting Contest

Welcome to our Texas Summer! I know summer doesn’t start officially for the northern hemisphere for another couple of weeks, but things are different here in Texas. For us summer starts right around the end of ReaperCon, and we’re scorching down here.

But we have a cure for the heat. A painting contest! We have so many great summerish figures coming out right at the beginning of July that the release simply begs for a new painting contest. Uncle Sam, the Deep Sea Diver, and a new green we just got in — a surfer dude (pictures forthcoming).

So, get your air-conditioned thinking caps on for Reaper’s summer painting contest. Themes: Ain’t No Cure for the Summertime Blues and Born on the Fourth of July.

Contest thread in the forum will open with the first new release in July and will stay open through the month. Gift certificates will be awarded: $50, $25, and $15 for first, second, and third place winners, respectively. Multiple entries are allowed, though only one entry per person will be eligible for the final vote. Extra consideration will be given to figures that follow the themes.

And if someone doesn’t do up a red, white, and blue viking, I’m going to be sorely disappointed in you.
