Geekgasm: Gamesday 2010

Gamesworkshop (GW), the parent company of Forgeworld, the Black Library, and producers of the tabletop strategy game I play called Warhammer 40K hosted Gamesday in Baltimore and it was amazing…grown men, a few kids, and lots of plastic crack. But instead of words I’ll let pictures do the work…enjoy.

There were speed painting competitions, build your own terrain, conversion contests, standard painting competitions, banner competitions, coloring competitions, about 50 club tables, and multiple Big Game Tables for 40K, Fantasy, and LotR (Lord of the Rings).  Cosplay was a given at an event like this…

Thanks so much for the great pics – they are the best I have seen so far this weekend.

I’d like to hear some impressions about what you thought about the new Ultramarines trailer – and if you’ve heard anything about an actual street date for Deathwatch (October, still?).

That is one… err… tall Tau.
