Free Form Friday: Better Late then never!

Maurice: With the third Batman film currently in production and this FIRST image of Tom Hardy as Bane released on the World Wide Web. What do we think so far of “The Dark Knight Rises” and what do we expect?

Jon: Why’s Bane wearing a mask?

Eric: I forgot why Bane wears a mask, but we’re looking forward to a lot if they do it the way I think they might.   If they do it right, Bane could go down in movie history as one of the great villains.  He’ll be there with Heath’s Joker, Nicholson’s Joker, Keyser Soze, Darth Vader, etc… Not only is he brains and brawn but he’s got a lot of depth.  Apparently Bane has a history with the dark knight without ever even meeting him.  When Bane was young and in prison, he saw a figure in a dream that was Batman before Batman was even in Bruce’s life.  Bane is the first to find out who batman is and the first to fully understand Batman’s psychology.  Should be amazing and full of fireworks if Nolan does it right.

JC: It could be an comic book action film and psychological thriller! Great potential.

BJ: Off topic, heard Macho Man Randy Savage Died…RIP

Maurice: Bane reminds me of Vader from WCW and WWE…..

Maurice: Anyway, back to the topic at hand, I personally think that its going to be epic. Nolan loves an all star talented cast and this film is shaping up to have just that. Tom Hardy as Bane, Michael Caine as Selina Kyle AKA Catwoman along with supporting roles for, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard and Josh Pence. Along with the regular players, Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine.  Nolan can’t go wrong. It’s just a shame that this will be the end of his trilogy before the Hollywood machine decides to reboot the whole thing again in a couple of years to make room for a Justice League movie a la Marvel Studios with their Avengers flick.
