Free Form Friday: Read Between the Lines…of Code.

That title is meant to be taken quite literally as I bang out this article whenever the professor isn’t looking in my programming class.  I know you’re concerned about how I intend to learn when I’m to busy writing nerdy articles the day before the deadline.  Relax…I got this…and I got THIS:

Amel994 asked:
Is it illegal to sleep in my car?

HOLY CRAP!  I’m fairly certain this may be the first legitimate question I’ve fielded here on FFF, I’m almost floored, I don’t know what to do…I should savor this.

<deep breath>

Ah…the smell of desperation, this tragic young lady, stricken from her home and banished from her village, seeking solace and refuge in the one place she can find comfort: Her car (or…maybe she just wants to take a nap on her lunch break like yours truly is so keen to do.)  The answer to your question, young vagrant, is: maybe.

It’s an individual city/county/state issue.  For instance, I live in a small township outside of Myrtle Beach, SC called Surfside Beach (sounds lovely, doesn’t it?) and IN surfside beach, one may snooze in their car to their heart’s content, provided it’s not on public property.  In neighboring Myrtle Beach, however, it’s completely illegal to sleep outside within the city limits, though it seems no one’s told that to all the sun-bathers at the ocean.

So, fair miscreant, consult your lawyer…or a friendly police officer, they’re here to help!

Notorious NAP asked:
When is it too hot for hot coffee?

The jittery little caffeine addict in my brain is very concerned that this answer will yield negative results, seeing as it’s the end of May in my tropical climate home, I’m sure your inner addict is feeling the same.  Fear Not my tweaky little bean-fiend…this also has a serious answer.

The National Coffee Association of USA states that coffee should be brewed between 195-205°F and should be served between 180-185°F.  You should deny the brewmonkey on your back only if the external temperature exceeds the recommended serving temperature thus making your hot coffee room temperature, albeit in a VERY hot room.  Otherwise, fellow junkies, drink up.

MoonwolfNsc asked:
What celebrity would be your real-life King’s Hand? MoonwolfNsc

If I were King, I would certainly need a powerful and well-versed Hand to handle my business whilst I drink obscene amounts of coffee and sleep in cars.  Personally, I think Obama had the right idea when he hired Kumar to handle stuff in DC, but I dream a little bigger.

Jesus? Yeah…a little too big.

Samuel L Jackson? Yeah…to clichè, that’s a classic Jason move.

Lady GaGa? Yeah….I’m a liberal dude, but she’s even to much for me.

Who to pick…I’d like to think it’s someone universally known, universally well liked, the kind of person you could open up too.

That’s it for today’s entry. If you would like your question answered by the Geekcentricity crew, leave it in the comments below and look for it in a future edition of Free Form Friday.
