Our thoughts are with Norway

The unthinkable has struck my neighbors in Norway yesterday. As most people are aware by now, seven people have now been confirmed killed following the bomb explosion in central Oslo, and at least 84 died on Utøya, an island hosting a social democrat youth camp, where a gunman went on the rampage. It is feared that the death toll will rise, as police continue their search of the island today.

Our beliefs for a better world bond us together and these are ideals that will not be defeated by fear or terror. This act, however horrible, will fail. I know that the human spirit will rise above this, as it can rise above any crisis.

On behalf of the entire Geekcentricity staff, our thoughts go to Norway and the two horrible and meaningless acts of violence that have struck the country. Our thoughts goes to the victims and their families, the wounded and their families, and all other – you are all in our hearts.

Norway – we stand by your side in these dark hours. I may be a Dane, but today, my viking brothers and sisters, I am Norwegian.
