Monte Cook is back with Wizards of The Coast. He has been reportedly brought on board to “work with R&D”.

Rite Publishing has posted part 1 of an interview with Brian Engard, who is co-designer of Bulldogs! about The Demolished Ones Kickstarter Project.

James Thomas has a new article up on Kobold Quarterly entitled, Familiar Roles: Practical Ideas for Animal Familiars (Part 1 of 2).

Check out Back2Basic – a “70s D&D Experience” on the 29th of October in Glendale, AZ. A charity fundraiser event for a cancer, it will feature several fundraiser events, raffles, and merchandise, along with a costume contest and D&D gaming using the Basic Set rules.

Z-Man Games now has a Facebook page, and are running a contest where if you visit the page by September 30, like it and submit a list of your three favorite Z-Man titles, you’ll instantly be entered into a contest for three games of your choice from the Z-Man catalog.

The nominees for the 2011 Juego del Año have been announced: 7 Wonders, by Antoine Bauza, Felix: The Cat in the Sack, by Friedemann Friese, Finca, by Ralf zur Linde and Wolfgang Sentker, and Forbidden Island, by Matt Leacock (Devir).

CCGs

The Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Gold Series 2012 will be releasing on 7th January 2012 in Japan. There will be 20 different cards in total, all also available as Gold Rare. In addition, there will be 7 cards per pack (of which 2 are Gold Rare), and 10 packs per box.
