Important Note
This is the final The Week In Gaming that you’ll be seeing here at Geekcentricity. There was a time when I posted gaming news and press releases day in and day out for three years. After a while, I got tired of it, and while it has been an interesting experiment here to do so again, even once a week isn’t as much fun as it used to be, especially when there are so many products out there that don’t get me personally excited. There was a time – long ago – when games were printed on paper and sold in stores, and boardgames weren’t played on iPads. Sadly, those days seem to be coming to a close – and with them, my interest in the latest trends.
At any rate – there are a lot of great sites where you can get your news when you want it. Far and away I wholeheartedly recommend Game Knight Reviews for excellent, if not the best RPG News Coverage. Purple Pawn continues to be the leader in boardgame news, as does Tabletop Gaming News for miniatures, and The Wargamer for wargaming news (if not a little heavy on the electronic side).
